TERMS & CONDITIONS:

·         DATES: Competition started on 2nd October 2008. There will be 10 heats, followed by 3 semi finals (8th Jan & 15th  Jan 2008 & 22nd Jan 2009l) and the final on 29th January 2009.

·         LIVE FINAL :The final will be broadcast LIVE on Radio Clyde (TBC) on Thursday 29th January 2009. The promoter (STRUM TM), does not accept responsibility if for reasons outwith their control technical difficulties prevent the final from being broadcast. To the best of their ability, the final will be broadcast live on radio.

·         JUDGES: Judges will be provided by Radio Clyde, Old Mill Studios, Pro Best Sounds , Sound Tec & the promoter. The judges decision will be final.

·         HEATS: At least 2 will go through each week during every heat.

·         ENTRY: Entry is open to all ages and talent (over the age of 18 only). If an entrant fails to reach the semi final, they may still go through to the semi final by one of the following methods:

o   There will be an online audience vote for their favourite performer that will run for the 10 week heats duration. The entrant with the most online votes, secures his/her/their place in the  final .

o   Dependant on numbers, if there is space on an alternative heat, they can, if they wish to, perform again . This is not a guarantee - the promoters decision may be final.

·         PRIZES: There is £1500 in cash fund to be won plus 2 prizes of a days recording in a professional recording studio, a gig in The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a day with a songwriter. First prize will be £800 plus a days recording, a gig in The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2009, and a day with a songwriter  from DreamHits ; second prize £250 plus a days recording, and 3rd prize £150. The judges decision is final.

·         ENTRY: All types of music/ styles are welcome: vocalist(s) with a backing track, vocalist(s) with their own song, acoustic to a cover or own song. Maximum of 2 songs allowed. If acoustic, a maximum of 5 mins set up time is allowed.
